Wind Tower Anchor Cage
Project overview
Camco Engineering’s strategy is to establish Western Australia’s (WA) first local manufacturing capability for wind tower anchor cages to support the delivery of onshore wind energy projects across the State.
A wind turbine anchor cage is a pre-assembled steel structure consisting of high-strength anchor bolts, plates, and nuts, installed in a foundation pit and filled with concrete. Its primary purpose is to securely connect the turbine tower to the ground and transfer the enormous forces of the wind and rotational motion from the tower to the foundation, ensuring the turbine’s stability and preventing movement or failure.
This project represents a strategic opportunity to build local capability in wind infrastructure manufacturing, aligned with national priorities for clean energy, regional development, and advanced manufacturing. Camco will accelerate the delivery of a high-impact solution that strengthens WA’s position in Australia’s renewable energy future.
By delivering anchor cages locally, we can significantly reduce emissions, lower costs, and strengthen Australia’s ability to meaningfully participate in renewable energy infrastructure.
